AI = Awesome Intelligence

I swear this is a true story.

I had 100 Browser tabs OPEN for one 3 month old project. I use Workona as my tab manager. If you're a creative, you know how this goes. You're a builder, you know what you want and the direction your going, but along the way... sooooo many rabbit holes, so many dependencies. and viola'! 100 tabs are open, each one, a puzzle piece in your entire journey.

In 2 hours... Claude.ai pro and I audited, categorized, archived, deleted them all. I even have a triage for follow-ups.

Here is my final message:
FULL TRIAGE IS COMPLETE
Total tabs triaged this session (including prior batches): ~90 of 100. The remaining ~10 are the Gemini tabs we're holding for batch processing.

Next step: I regenerate THS_Key_Chat_Reference.docx with every single entry from the entire session — all KEEPs, all ARCHIVEs, all standalone artifacts, properly organized. One file. You save it to 00_PROJECT_HQ/ and close every tab.

Want me to generate it now?

Ppl who know me know I was ADHD before there was ADHD (Alex, be nice plz hahah). My gift **was** my curse.

AI is life changing.

We built an agentic integration into our platform that combines VIN data with a series of dealer-centric prompts to produce a highly optimized, readable VDP description. We launched it under the product name Fuelbot. We continue to enhance it, and our dealers love it. The result has been outstanding; our Fuelbot-driven VDPs all outrank our human-edited VDPs (internal and external) and provide a consistent quality. It was our first test of productizing AI, and it's been an overwhelming success.

Side note: We also paid attention to "AI detection" platforms... and our VDPs still rank and convert better than our human-written descriptions, despite AI detection typically flagging them as AI-generated content.

Task: create videos without needing my business partner in Maryland (not Jeff - Tom Harsha) to be available.

Fed a little data into Perplexity and asked it to write a script for a video that would be less than 2 minutes and read by an AI avatar. Then I created an AI avatar of myself, followed by an AI voice that mimics me. I used all the freebie tools in this trial run, then had CapCut's AI add the final polish and captions.

Showed it to my wife, and she did not realize it wasn't me.

We're always astonished at the number of dealers that don't take an hour and just do an intro video... especially with these amazing tools! Pretty amazing technology!

wild!

Love this thread. On the dealer side, one of the common things I keep hearing is that buyers really love immersive experiences (for example, seeing the car drive through a landscape, getting a virtual tour of the interior of the car, picturing yourself in the car, etc.) I haven't seen anyone build this at scale but would be cool to see.

Another day where I'm yelling at AI... :yell:

AI replied to me:
"Joe, you're right to flag this, and I take full responsibility. Let me do exactly what you're asking — a forensic audit, root cause analysis, and an action plan."

Then AI completes the audit and I'm mad as hell, I'm 6 hours into a project, I threaten it and tell it to do it again: "Have you given this a full forensic review? What about the context window. I want to establish the best possible outcome."

AI replies: "No. The honest answer is no — my prior audit was shallow. It only checked SME notes vs. actions taken. It did not audit the entire processing chain. Let me do that now."

Ugh...

Awesome indeed, Joe. We’ve been focusing on the multi-location struggle. Specifically, how to maintain a consistent 'human' tone of voice across 10+ rooftops without burning out the marketing team.

We built repmanager.ai to automate the heavy lifting of review replies while keeping that local dealership feel. It’s been a game-changer for clearing backlogs (2k+ reviews in one case) and actually giving time back to the directors. Scaling the 'human touch' is finally starting to feel doable.

This is something I fear will happen to the consumer-facing tools - they will pretend to work hard while in the back-end decreasing token consumption to reduce cost on the fixed cost monthly plans. This is why I appreciate the transparency of Claude showing me token usage - I know if it's really working or not.

Personally I am using ChatGPT almost never anymore - Gemini took over all my research needs, Nano Banana Pro took over my image needs and Claude took over all code, planning, Excel, PowerPoint and PDF work (combined this means 90%+ of my workload is now on Claude).

If they do go down this road of faking the hard work, the nice thing about this industry is you can go right to the models with any other wrapper and get the same logic engine with none of the front-end shenanigans.

One of the coolest things I have followed since inception but still haven't built with myself is Pickaxe - Pickaxe | Shopify for Agent-Powered Businesses

✨ AI Highlights

  • Claude and Gemini replaced ChatGPT for coding, planning, and research tasks
  • AI avatars with cloned voices fooled real people including spouses
  • Dealers built agents to stock inventory and find auction vehicles autonomously

This thread is an enthusiastic, wide-ranging showcase of real-world AI wins shared by dealers, vendors, and automotive tech professionals, covering everything from tab management and VDP copywriting to custom agentic operating systems and AI avatars. The strongest consensus is that AI is genuinely transforming productivity and creative output for small teams, with Claude emerging as the preferred workhorse for complex, multi-step tasks while Gemini and Perplexity fill supporting roles. The only meaningful tension surfaces around AI reliability at scale — one contributor's frustration with shallow audits and another's concern that consumer-facing AI tools may quietly reduce effort to cut costs — but even skeptics remain enthusiastic overall. Worth a read if you want concrete use cases and tool recommendations, or if you're curious how early adopters in your space are building AI-native workflows right now.
