I am getting the following error when I attempt to save a status change in Dealersocket

"Server Error in '/dlrSocket' Application."
"Input string was not in a correct format."

I am on a Mac, though I have attempted to use several browsers to see if Safari was the issue. The browsers I have used are; Google Chrome, Firefox, and Safari, none of which work.

Has anyone else encountered this issue?

Is there a known fix for this?

Thanks in advance!

The known fix is to use IE. DS is not quite 100% on a Mac.

"Shawn,
Using DealerSocket on a Mac could the be the issue. You need to run windows somehow and then get Internet Explorer and then you will be good to go...

Thanks!

Shawn,

Here is a more detailed answer, directly from our CEO/Co-founder Jonathan. "I use and demo ds from the mac... It works for most things but sometimes has trouble rendering some of the font sizes or active X controls... The only way currently to get it to run perfectly is using fusion or parallels to have a windows environment. With fusion it is EXTREMELY easy and integrated with the doc in the mac OS."

Also, we are working dilligently on future enhancements to elimnate some of these issues.

I hope that helps a little more. Please reach out to me directly if you need further assistance.

Shellie, thank for jumping in to help out here.

I too hate being forced to use IE but fall victim of this arm twist with eLead CRM. Though I can accomplish about 90% of what I need to do in Safari there are times I need to boot up windows/IE in VMware. Although my CRM is not the software that I need to use IE.

Hopfully with time the more aggressive vendors in our industry will adapt.

Your point? Just kidding. Mac support is definitely on our development list. We'll get there, just takes time and we have to prioritize based on % of customer requests.

I understand the prioritization. I was just giving that old thread some love ;) ....and I'm a Mac user.
