Why do some shoppers forget why you are contacting them, or outright deny they ever asked to hear from you?

I'm really tired of vendors like this putting the whole blame on the dealers. Never have I seen a vendor give a realistic explanation of what is really going on out there in the world of 3rd party leads.
It's like asking the government about Area 51 anytime you want to talk about it. Nobody knows anything and nobody knows anyone else that knows anything.
How do you shoppers forget why we are contacting them? You know why and it isn't us. It's you!
I say lets talk about how Autobytel is the largest re-seller of "leads" out there.
