InternetAutoguide.com - High Search Ranking

Internet Autoguide is tied with Source Interlink Media which in turn is related to the following:Automotive.com, MotorTrend.com,AutomobileMagazine.com, IntelliChoice.com, Autobuyguide.com,NewCar.com, and AutomallUSA.com. If you count all the links from those affiliates and their sub links to and from, you cant help but get great SEO.

I've noticed that www.internetautoguide.com gets very high rank in the google search engine.

Does any one know more about this site ? Any one list used vehicles on their site with any Success ?

This is interesting, it appears to have "pulled" our inventory for display and when I mystery shopped one of my rigs, I did received an email with the contact info, when I called their support number, I spoke with a nice young lady who had absolutely no idea what I was talking about and said she'd find someone to assist me, I hung up after being on hold for over 8 minutes :dunno:

Must be another "free" site with a ton of advertising.

I see that it uses dealers' inventory. Is this on a direct feed from the dealer, or is this a "bonus" of using some other third party site's service?

Good Question Alex,

As far as I know, I have not seen leads generated from : Automotive.com, MotorTrend.com,AutomobileMagazine.com, IntelliChoice.com, Autobuyguide.com,NewCar.com, and AutomallUSA.com. I may have seen a couple from motortrend, but think it was affilliated with Zag.

The email I received from www.thecarconnection.com asked if I wanted to have their vehicle reviews posted on our website. I told the guy to send me links of other dealers that are using that service and to call me. No call yet...

Mike is right.

There's nothing really of value on those sites, nothing original or unique. Even if there is original content (meaning it wasn't scraped) the majority of what they're doing is just capturing a lead you could have caught yourself.

You only have so much time in the day, and for every "free" site you want to post your inventory to - 10 more will pop up before you decide to go home for the day.

In other words, enough of putting your stuff on these "bigger" sites and start building your brand and your relationships on your own, ie. a blog.

When you take the time and create really solid content and lots of useful information you'll begin to build an audience that wants to listen to your opinion and so it all comes down to trust.

Get your RSS reader setup so you can see who's producing really great stuff, and engage with them on their site for awhile and get to know who's who and promote them. It will come back to you in ways you'd never expect but you have to work hard and be consistent.

Tuneyfish,

I work for a very large dealership group and we have an internet process that has improved internet sales tremendously over the last 14 months. We receive over 500 leads a month in our single Honda location. So I think we have the solid content and useful information part down

Seeking advice and looking for better ways for our store to grow is why I made this post.

I find your comment of " it comes down to trust" interesting.

Do internet leads trust us ?

What about my competition, are their quotes more trusting than mine ?

Sorry if my post came across the wrong way, I was trying to make the point that these sites, no matter how good they rank, no matter how much traffic they get, will never deliver a lead as good as one from your own website or blog.

The other point I was trying to make with trust is this:

When I give someone my email address I trust that they aren't going to spam me, or sell my information, or whatever. So that means I am very hesitant to sign up or do things that I might be unsure about who's behind the scenes.

Facebook has a big problem right now, it's related to trust.

So what I'm saying is I would hope that more and more dealers will stop buying leads from sources where trust may not be a priority. This person who entered their email and information should know who is going to be contacting them, and what they are being contacted about (the specific vehicle) within an hour of submitting their info.

I doubt any of these sites are doing that and no matter how good your internal internet process is, if you're depending on these sites you could big missing a much bigger opportunity.
