Is there an Anti-Virus, Firewall, & Anti-Spyware software worth using over Microsoft Defender?

Security is a cat and mouse game. Software can only help you get so far.
If you have a responsible set of employees, microsoft defender should do the trick.
If you have people that are downloading and sharing videos (think limewire etc) there is really no saving you.
