Russian hackers, Wiffle Ball and Your Site

tl;dr - We were working on a link audit yesterday and noticed a Russian wiffle ball site call Hess Field Wiffle Ball (dot) com that is back linked to almost 10,000 dealership websites. Now it's not abnormal to see a few .ru or indian sites pop up in these audits, but we have never seen such an extreme case.

Has anyone seen this site on your link audits?

Spammy link farms are fairly prevalent and it's not hard to scrape dealer website URLs and inject them in one swoop. It's probably what this is man.

Reminds me of that SEO scammer that linked to every dealer site and sent them an invoice. Many dealers paid it, was like a $50 / mo. charge. I think they got away with it in court, proved they provided a service. LMAO!
