QR Codes - In or Out?

I Shazzamed a Geico commercial the other day. Took me to an extended version of the guy singing. Quite funny. Was tricky to get the phone and app ready before commercial was over... I don't believe I could've scanned the QR Code from where I was sitting.

Ed, I was gonna say that has to be a photoshop job but then I remembered I had seen this for myself in Ocean City Maryland.

I think the "what the hell is this" factor of the QR code has more impact than the codes themselves. Ha!
You'd think that if you had the money to fly a banner plane, you'd have the smarts to get a really short URL (meaning less data in the same space) so your QR code has a greater chance of being scannable at that altitude...
