Hello all! Just wondering, what the heck is with RAM sales?

Ram positioned themselves to take marketshare away from GM Silverado/Sierra before their model refresh and their strategy is very effective. If you add Sierra numbers to the list I suspect the combined will align with the Ram increase.

I don't think the Silverado 1500 intro is selling as well as they anticipated and they're late on the 6-cylinder diesel that's supposed to compete with Ram EcoDiesel. I heard when GM was going through bankruptcy filings the Silverado budget was cut so it put them behind.

✨ AI Highlights

A dealer questions the dramatic 28% sales surge for RAM pickups in H1 2019, which moved the brand into second place in the market. A respondent explains that RAM successfully captured market share from GM's Silverado ahead of Chevy's model refresh, attributing Silverado's underperformance to budget cuts during GM's bankruptcy and delayed introduction of a competing diesel engine. The key insight is that RAM's aggressive positioning and product timing allowed them to gain significant ground on traditionally dominant truck manufacturers.
