Carvana?? Who and What are they?

That makes total sense. When you mentioned "damages", I was think more along the lines of actual body damange. Something that would need the attention of a professional body or repair shop. I'm guess the damanges were more minor, like scratches, dings, small tear in the seat, etc.

That reminds me. When I was at Mercedes-Benz of Hagerstown, I would take photos of any scratches, dings or imperfections. Only a select few would have these issues since we reconditioned the cars to the hilt. Boy oh boy, when the used car manager first found out - he shipped his pants. He came around. :)

Carvana handles damage exactly the way it needs to be done for a direct-to-consumer shipping model.
Not only is it in the photos, but they actually highlight it and explain it to you.

I love their business model and I full expect it to take hold more and more as we progress through 2015.

# Summary Automotive professionals discuss Carvana, an online used car retailer backed by DriveTime that sells vehicles sight-unseen with free delivery, positioning itself as an alternative to traditional dealerships. While members acknowledge the company's innovative virtual vehicle tours and competitive pricing claims, skeptics question whether it can sustain profitability, dispute its claims of $1,500 savings per vehicle, and view its advertising as misleading negative marketing against dealerships. A Carvana representative responds to clarify that the company operates as a legitimate multi-market business addressing known pain points in traditional car buying rather than making empty promises.
