GM dealers, make sure that you are following the newest guidelines enacted by GM beginning Monday. They already dinged us for not having our own discount not broken out. Be sure that you are also now putting your trade and finance bonuses in the conditional offers section too. My rep informed me today that while the fine for these is light right now they are looking to increase it.

A GM dealer warns colleagues about new GM AIS (Automotive Information System) guidelines taking effect Monday, including requirements to separately break out dealer discounts and place trade-in and finance bonuses in a conditional offers section. The dealer reports that GM has already penalized their dealership for non-compliance and notes that while current fines are minimal, GM intends to increase penalties going forward. The key takeaway is that GM dealers need to immediately adjust their system processes to avoid financial penalties.
