GM Google TV

AI Summary

Dealers discuss digital signage options for showrooms and service areas, with two main solutions emerging: GM's free Google TV system and the paid AutoNet TV platform. While Google TV offers a cost-effective solution that works well, AutoNet TV provides more robust features and functionality that can drive additional service inquiries, though at a higher price point. The choice ultimately depends on whether dealers prioritize budget savings or enhanced capabilities.

Eley, looks like its been close to a year but did you decide on any digital signage for your dealership? We are at the looking phase right now and would like to know any pros/cons of the system you decided on.

We decided on AutoNet TV. There were some hiccups recently with some upgrades they were making. But our service managers loves it. We have Lobby TV, and service drive menus. It has people asking about services in the lane a lot more. We are getting ready to shoot some in-dealership video for the Lobby TV: wanted used cars, thank you msg, etc.

So far we have been happy. Its not free, but it does a lot more than the Google TV does.
