A dealer friend forwarded a solicitation email from a "Reputation Management" company this morning. I've left the body of his email because I think he nailed it:
Ryan,
This is a forward of NONSENSE that's going on out there to fraudulently aid dealers in Reputation Mgmt! Disgraceful!
I thought you might be able to use this info somehow.

Here are a few screenshots from this site:

(I don't know, Fiverr definitely has some better deals on this. $2 a review seems a little steep)

(Let me see if I understand... I pay you $10k a month and THEN we talk about what you are actually going to do for me? That sounds GREAT!)
I'm positive that 99% of DealerRefresh will cringe at this (kcar, you are the 1% my friend
). I could type 10 pages of problems with trying to write a check to right your reputation, but I want to take this a different direction.
Would it surprise you that this site that literally SELLS reviews features a "testimonial page?" No joke! How credible is that? I'm sure there is NO WAY that those are fake, right? Why would a guy trying to sell you something falsify some testimonials?

Here is the takeaway... Does the testimonial page on your website look like this? If so, do you think your customers find these testimonials any more credible than the ones above? Why? Neither are sourced to a third party for credibility. Without a source, at best they disregard it as an advertisement, at worst they assume the content isn't what you purported it to be. "Confirmed by whom?" There are a lot of tools in the marketplace to aggregate reviews from across the web to be displayed on your website. All of them that I'm aware of source the content! No source = NO value!
