Twitter has something new on the horizon - they are currently testing it in a private beta - called CoTwitter. This could be something that actually makes Twitter a manegable and practical application for dealerships. It allows mutiple users to login to the account and everyone can see who is currently active. If you are fielding questions and inquiries via Twitter it also allows you to assign who responds to the original Tweet. If you have a dealer group and are managing one Twitter account for the whole group this could be a big advantage.

Any thoughts on how this could potentially effect Twitter usage in your dealership?

I have yet to hear anything about Co-Twitter but it could be interesting. We have a Twitter account for MileOne that's basically plugged into our blog for updates and such BUT as time moves and the popularity of Twitter continues to grow..it might makes sense to have account separated out by manufacturer/dealer. I don't see any real advantage to having it like that right now but who knows what the future could bring.

I'll be sure to keep an eye out for this. CoTwitter (if it works like described) could have many advantages across several verticals. I has me thinking about how I could use here on DealerRefresh.

This would probably entail a "twitter team" - we're still a bit out for this being a practical tool for most dealerships; I can see the utlity for some other market segments that are already deeply rooted into twitter - (IE: Zappos, Comcast, Dell, etc)
