End of Month Chaos

Eh, it's all relative. Even when it's "bad". I see it as a good thing -- I mean, people are in the showroom. Deals are getting worked. Sales guys and managers are working hard.

I think since there can be so much down time in a dealer people often freak out when they can't get a cigarette in every hour.

From a vendor side, I wouldn't expect much when contacting a dealer at the end-of-month. Other things can take priority, quickly!

As a vendor unless its a dealer I am already talking with I do not try to make contact at month end or first day of month. As a ex GSM I understand how busy it is and look at it was respecting the dealer and his employees.

The Chaos usually comes from the GM and Sales Managers that didn't want to accept deals the first 3 weeks of the month and now all of a sudden they're willing to "take that deal".

"Call those people and tell them you'll accept their offer, and get them in the door tonight" - only to find out they bought somewhere else.

Most end of the month Chaos is self inflected. Especially if the month before was a good month.
