I've seen some dealers experiment with them in my feed, but I'm surprised between FB and Instagram I don't see more of it. I've been researching their advertising products and I'm very very impressed. Their ability to attribute online ads to in-store visits in a very reliable manner is huge.
I never realized it until now but, if your store has a page on Facebook, they can link people who see your ad on FB to people that visit your store, all because the app is backgrounded and location services are on.
So, my question is, are automotive digital marketers receptive to replacing part of their Google ad spend with Facebook? I feel like there's a lot of opportunity here.
