Just some random shinfo, but GM just entered into the MAAP pricing foray effective January 1, 2021.
I haven’t seen it yet, but it was my understanding that it was only going to be for certain models - mainly for new redesigns and newly launched models. But who knows!Just some random shinfo, but GM just entered into the MAAP pricing foray effective January 1, 2021.

No more $13,000 jettas.
You mean like running a superbowl ad on a $45,000 Arteon that most dealers have 1 or 2 of? Nah........Will the OEM's self police and stop TV lease offers for vapor inventory?
Lease pricing will be included in GM's MAAP policy - they are going to tie due at signing amount as a % of MSRP, and set a limit. That's 1 thing I really do like the idea of.Will the OEM's self police and stop TV lease offers for vapor inventory?
# Summary GM announced it would implement MAAP (Manufacturer's Advertised Selling Price) pricing beginning January 1, 2021, requiring dealers to display pricing tied to MSRP and rebate breakdowns across all platforms, with enforcement tied to co-op funds and compliance reviews. Dealers expressed concerns about the broad application to all models and the challenge of requiring third-party sites to provide rebate breakdowns, though some saw potential benefits in establishing a pricing floor and preventing aggressive lease offers.
