proactive reputation management out there?

@ryan.leslie
Broken links are links that don’t work. They lead to nowhere. When you click on it, you see a 404 page or you are being redirected to the home page, sometimes it is just a blank screen (not a very good way to deal with broken links).

Some of the reasons why links don’t work include:
  • A website is no longer available
  • A webpage was moved without a redirect being added
  • The URL structure of a website was changed
While it is obviously unpleasant for users to click on such links, search engines also don't like Click here (i.e. won't rank a website very high) when a website is full of doors to Narnia.
Simply we see onpage SEO or broken links.

Anyone have experience with reputation management software that can find and fix broken links to review sites for me?
Most reputation tools will monitor listings and reviews, but they rarely “fix” broken links automatically, you still need to correct those at the source like your Google Business Profile, directory listings, or website citations. Platforms like this are better used for tracking consistency, spotting errors, and pushing updates across directories, while link validation and cleanup usually requires a quick manual audit or a crawler to catch bad URLs. In practice, a mix of monitoring software plus periodic checks works better than expecting one tool to handle everything.

# Summary A dealer marketer asks about reputation management software to find and fix broken links to review sites, but confusion arises over whether they're seeking SEO fixes or true reputation management solutions. The thread clarifies that broken links are an on-page SEO issue (not reputation management) and recommends tools like Vendasta, Yext, or DealerReviewRescue for actual reputation work like managing review site listings and improving Google My Business profiles. The key insight is that dealers should distinguish between fixing technical website issues and proactively managing their online reputation across review platforms and directories.
